Jose (Pepo) Peschiera


Pepo has spent the last 15 years investing in and managing farms, initially in Latin America and for the last 9 years in the US. Prior to his role at FBN, he co-founded Frontier Farmland, a technology-driven farmland investment and management company. Before Frontier, he was SVP at Fall Line Capital, leading new farm acquisitions and developments and farm management. Previously, Pepo was Managing Partner at Agro Meridional, a private equity firm in Argentina specializing in the development and execution of agribusiness opportunities. His responsibilities included screening, analysis, development, and execution of new agriculture investment opportunities. Prior to Agro Meridional, Pepo was Crop Management Team Leader at BLS Agribusiness in Argentina where he led a team managing row crops.


Pepo holds an undergraduate degree in Agricultural Engineering from the University of Buenos Aires, where he graduated with high honors, and a Masters in Finance from Torcuato Di Tella University in Buenos Aires. Pepo comes from a farming family in Argentina, is a fourth generation farmer, and spent most of his childhood assisting his father in the management of farm operations in the Argentine Pampas.




Melissa Bermudez


Melissa has spent the last 10 years investing in organizations of all sizes, analyzing, developing, and executing on strategies to help companies improve core metrics and/or become profitable. She joined FBN in 2022 after leading strategy for an agriculture startup in the Northeast, managing all elements of marketing, supply chain management, corporate development, and analytics. She began her career on Wall Street, working on both the sell-side in investment banking at J.P. Morgan and the buy-side as an investment analyst at a credit fund.


Melissa has her MBA from Harvard Business School and BA in Applied Mathematics from Columbia University. She grew up in a farming community in Massachusetts.
